I ended up finishing the entire series last night. I still don't hate Pam or Jim. I think Pam's line of "I wasn't ready yet" regarding Philadelphia was perfectly acceptable.

I'll admit the feeling is different on re-watch than when it was originally running. Having to wait a week or more between episodes created a different feeling than being able to watch it all straight through, knowing the outcome.

For instance, Nellie isn't nearly as bad watching it all at once than she was at the time. And the Jim/Pam stuff was a little more difficult. The show floundered a bit with the writers' strike and finding its identity post-Michael, but I felt the payoff was worth sticking with it.

I agree with that. I think the later seasons are much more enjoyable on a rewatch when there's a nostalgic factor. It still bothers me with what they did to Andy's character because I didn't think it was necessary, but most of the other issues I had with the later seasons don't seem to bother me as much anymore.

What season was the writer's strike? I am doing a rewatch right now and about half way through Season 4

The finale was really well done. AARM and the series finale felt like early Office. I think I heard they knew how they wanted to end the series pretty early in the shows run though. If true it would explain a lot.

Andy annoyed more than Nellie towards the end of the series on my binge watch.

I feel the writer's strike season was the best one of the whole series and that we really missed out on some good stuff because of that stupid strike.

The dinner party episode at Michael's condo is one of my all-time favorites.
