The El Camino has been a polarizing machine for decades, spearheaded its own turf battle. Call it phenomenon, or controversial, but it's not trashiest.
And in my experience, ElCo owners are friendly. My sophomore year of high school, this guy Troy moved in the Apt. behind me for a few months. He was 23 and bought me and my friends beer, drove us to parties. He'd fallen on tough times but never asked us for a dime.
