Just noticed the last line in the link to the policy:

So its policy, but dont endanger yourself or others by trying to conform to this policy

"Suspect is flying towards me and my partner at a high rate of speed. Policy says I can't shoot into a car. But by choosing not to shoot in the car, i could endanger myself or my partner. So its policy to say frick that other part of the policy"
