Yeah, we get that. Rednecks are easy to escape though. For African Americans, it's just so disproportionately lopsided that it's hard to want anything to do with them. When 13% of the population carries out 40% of the violent crime, I'd rather just distance myself from them. I'll just be a racist a-hole and get as far away from this dysfunction as I can until the REAL issues are addressed within black culture. I want to surround myself with people that reflect my values - hard work, privacy, respect for man & nature, and just overall common human decency.
ETA: I've met many black men that reflect my values, they are just scattered and outnumbered. I feel bad for them.

Try living in New Orleans and watching the daily news here. I was amazed when I went to stay with my friend in Buckhead in Atlanta. It was like the thug to upstanding citizen ratio completely flipped. There are so many great black males out there that aren't rappers or athletes. However, they don't make the news and are "cornball brothers" to many in their community.
