Star Trek 2009 was close to perfect as far as capturing the spirit of TOS.

Into Darkness was flawed...deeply in some places but wasn't as terrible as some here (who never bothered to watch the movie) like to pretend.

I have high hopes for Beyond, so far the reviews are saying it captures the TOS spirit flawlessly. I cannot wait.

I liked it, but it was a mindless action movie with time travel. It was nothing close to a Star Trek movie.
