For the life of me, I don't understand why so many people claim Emeril as a Louisiana chef. I know he lives here now, has restaurants here, and has been for 30 years or so. But the guy is a Yankee. 
I've even had people vehemently argue that Emeril was from Louisiana. He is not.

He might be from Massachusetts, but he cooks the hell out of New Orleans style cuisine. I'm claiming him for Louisiana baw, in other words I would allow it
