The BLM is such an interesting phenomenon. I get being in college and in your early twenties and rebelling against "the man"-whatever perception of that you might have. But they have no endgame. Their protests have no aim. You can give them a seat at the table, but then what? "What do you actually have of substance to suggest?" They so desperately want to have their own civil rights movement. But we did that 50 years ago. And that movement had an aim. This has none--and certainly no Dr. King as the face--or more importantly, the intellect--to lead it.
The racial tension could always improve, the racial divide always narrow. But I'd posit that that divide has drastically widened since the birth of the BLM. The irony is that their movement is working--but instead of moving us closer together, it's pushing further away.![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/Iconusaflagsmiley.gif)
