I always avoid west wind unless I go out by Christmas Camp. You are pretty much protected in the Biloxi Marsh, but it can kick up. If you are fishing reds right now you just need to work Muscle, Pete's, Cutoff, and Brick. Brick Lagoon is very well protected; it is a small body of water and is deep in the marsh. In the fall, these same bodies of water will hold specks.
