As an American spectator sport, on a scale of 1-10 in terms of prominence (10 being NFL), where was soccer 20 years ago, where is it now, and where will it be in ten years?
Soccer
This should really be our logo on the USMNT.
"America's sport of the future since 1972."
I read about the 4-year plan recently that they had back then.
Gonna be #1 in 1976!

We have more players playing for big clubs than ever before. Ya'll are mocking the whole "up and coming" thing but we've never had anywhere near this much youth talent before. MLS youth academies started less than 10 years ago, and that is how you will get an elite league. There is a certain player on our national team that will probably be our first "world superstar" in the next few years.
