You're right.
And, the people who could sense it from just watching the trailer and knowing Hollywood's agenda felt the vibe.
He confirmed it when he said, "basically it's a man bashing film." And not pro women, just anti-men.

Which I think in a lot of ways is even more demeaning to a female audience, that a studio has to guess - and guess wrong - what a female audience wants to see. I don't think women movie-goers want to see every male character in a film shite on any more than any male movie-goer wants to see the same treatment of female characters. It's insulting to the intelligence of the audience that the studio is claiming to understand and want to appeal to.
