He wore fricking militant clothing and was toting a damn rifle around a protesting site with children present

perfectly legal, but this isn't what im talking about. Im not commending him for carrying a rifle at a protest.

With all the black extremists being interviewed in the media, its refreshing to hear an african american speak rationally on this divide. It's refreshing to hear that he didnt challenge the cop when they asked about his rifle. He just gave it over to them. And then asked what could they do to help. Yes, this is what he is supposed to do! It is what more people need to understand. You dont need to be combative to get your point across.

Everyone is hung up on the bad but we need more of this.

It's stupid to be hung up on his 2nd amendment right to legally carry a gun. Or get caught up in what he was wearing. None of that matters unless you are just looking for things to attack, which is obvious.

It does matter when his whole point was that he was upset and thought he was in danger of being killed because of the media if you listen to the interview. No, he was in danger because of his own irresponsible choice to wear that clothing and to bring an AR-15 to that location.

I'm not looking for anything to attack, at all. I'm not even one of these police apologists, at all. I get berated in those threads because I firmly believe there is something innately wrong with the relationship between the black community and the police and don't believe it is all on the black community.

I'm simply saying he worked with the police out of self preservation, and rightfully so. Nothing more. And I'm also saying the legality is irrelevant when it comes to carrying a rifle. I know you're allowed to do so in TX. But he obviously was attempting to look like a hard arse who was ready for whatever. Ready for war. He's not someone to be celebrated. He's just an idiotic dude who was forced to work with the police because he was being accused of shooting a bunch of cops.
