My brother is an executive for an oil Corp and he won't even put his son in travel ball.
There's a saying about a fool and parting with his money.
5-10k for a summer of baseball for a kid is ludicrous

Little League cost on average about $5 per player for 5 months of baseball.
Season ends, set up a batting cage at home or pitching net...play sandlot...you can play year round basically for free.
Pony League costs about 40 bucks.
Baseball is free in high school.
Travel ball - from a CBS article:
For the 9-year-old, the parents pay about $4,000 for baseball.
The normal route to success in baseball - hard work, local play, high school is still cheap as shite.
There's nothing about baseball that forces people out.
Only this bullshite travel ball greedy promotion promising glory hunter parents that their kid needs it.
If black kids are being priced out of a baseball league full of delusional glory hunter parents who can't see the forest for the trees...well then black folks are the lucky ones for not wasting their money.
