He played with 2 banks of 4 defensively for pretty much his entire tenure at Real Madrid. He played around a little more attacking-wise, and by a little more, I mean a frickton until he found something that worked. He was pretty obsessed with balance, and I think that that's why he succeeded in winning the CL where Mourinho failed.

Bayern Munich is an easier puzzle to solve, but Ancelotti did a lot of successful things that I had a hard time wrapping my head around initially.

Between Lewandowski, Müller, Coman, Costa, Ribery, Robben and maybe Fat Mario, he has a ton of options attacking
