Any prediction with less than 2 losses is homerish as hell and not based in reality given who our head coach still is.
In Miles' 11 seasons at LSU, there have only been 2 seasons where LSU did not lose AT LEAST two regular season games (2005, 2011). Therefore, it's not outlandish, based on 11 years of history, that LSU will likely lose at least 2 games this season. However........
As I said in a thread yesterday, generally when Miles' LSU teams have been highly ranked (top 5) going into a season, they live up to those expectations. In the two years that Miles didn't lose at least two games, LSU started the season ranked in the top 5 (2005, 2011). 2007 and 2012 are the outliers to that argument. However, everyone (except OSU and Kansas) lost at least 2 games in 2007 and LSU still finished up to preseason expectations. 2012 is the one year they were ranked very high to start and didn't finish that way.
I'm generally pretty pessimistic when it comes to Miles. But I will give him is just due. When he has a team that is widely thought to be VERY good going into a season, those teams usually live up to those lofty expectations.
I would not be surprised to see LSU lose at least 2 games this season. Nevertheless, I would be equally unsurprised if they are playing for the National Championship in January. Unlike 2013, 14, 15, and to a large extent, 2012, the pieces for such a run (compared with everyone else around the country) in 2016. If Miles is going to get national title #2, this is the year.

I have LSU losing no more than one game. Not sure who. They may even give us a game that we should not lose but we do.

Everything is spot on for Mr except one thing.
We can lose to alabama and all our goals are still in reach. Unfortunately the team doesn't seem to think so as they seem to crumble after a loss to the tide.

Doubtful. If we lose to Bama, they'd own the tiebreaker over us and would probably have to lose 2 conference games for us to win the west. If we don't win the west, I seriously doubt the committee will put a second SEC team in the playoff.
We need to win the West and losing to Bama puts us behind the 8-ball. If we lose a game, better if its Florida, out of division. We don't really need to be undefeated, but we have to get to Atlanta, however that occurs is ok with me.

Wrong. We lose a close one to bama..win the rest..they stay undefeated..no question we make the final 4

Same scenario as 11 with 4 spots instead of 2

with only a 4-team playoff, I seriously doubt the committee will put in 2 teams from the same conference, unless it's a very unique situation. Even if the teams are deserving, I think the pressure on the committee will be too much. Remember, one Power 5 team already gets left out. Two teams from one conference would mean 2 Power 5 teams are left out. I just don't think the committee is going to do that, absent extreme circumstances.
I agree, if we finish 11-1 with a close loss to Bama and they win the conference, we clearly have a very strong argument for being one of the 4 best teams.
But my point is more based on the political pressure the committee will be under, rather than whether we'd actually be deserving of a playoff bid.

I'm with you OP. I had the same predictions. LSU either goes undefeated or has 1 loss to Florida.

He has averaged 2.9 losses a year at LSU!
Last year, at 9-3, was an average year for him!
Not at LSU. 10-3 would have been about his average, though.
