I said about a month ago that their dream offseason was Hield and Batum. They are halfway there, but I can't see Batum choosing NOLA.
Parsons does a lot of the same things Batum does, so he is the logical 2nd option. From there, Bazemore, Dudley, and others on that level will get phone calls.
They are going to add 2 perimeter players, but if they can't, they will explore bringing back Ryno if the price is right, to use as an asset down the road.

Yeah, if they are going to spend the money, Batum makes a lot of sense. I don't see him coming here either. How are they going to add 2 perimeter players with the cap we have available?

The debate in-between Parsons and Barnes is a good one, cause neither really deserves the max. They are both 3rd-4th options. They are easy to compare, since they have been in the league almost the same amount of time. Parsons has been in the league one season longer (even though he is almost 4 years older). But their total games are roughly the same, although Barnes has played in 51 more postseason games.
Parsons- 14.3ppg, 5.1rpg, 3.0apg, 1.0spg, 1.7topg (33.3 mpg).. 47fg%, 38-3pt%
Barnes- 10.1ppg, 4.6rpg, 1.5apg, 0.7spg, 1.0topg (28.1 mpg).. 44fg%, 37-3pt%
Not a huge difference in-between the two IMO. If I had to pick, I'm going with Barnes. That is based off of Parson's injury history and Barnes' youth. But I can understand people rather going with Parsons, since he has had a bit more individual success..
