Bought my High Point 9mm carbine sometime in the early 2000's. Maybe 2001-ish give or take a year. It's been error free for at least 5k rounds at a rough guess. At the range last Wed got my first ever malfunctions out of the rifle. 3 FTF out of 50 rounds of steel TulAmmo. I normally don't shoot steel 9mm or Tulammo in general my dad just happened to have a box of 50 he was wanting to get rid of so I shot them out of the high point. The strikes on the primer did look a little lighter than the ones that fired but I wouldn't have thought them light strikes by just looking at the primer. They shot fine out of a P226.
Pulled it apart today and the firing pin spring little a little curvy. Going to say after 5k rounds it's time for a new firing pin spring.

High Point 9mm carbine
I've always heard these are much more reliable than the pistols.
