Seems like a few are sort of missing the point here. Caught up in Latz "transferring" to another school.
It was pointed out a week or two ago that Latz's arm was fine but he had another health issue, which PM could not discuss. Now talk of a blood disorder (which Latz does not walk to talk about, Ryan Theriot texted him on radio yesterday). Has anyone thought that maybe this disorder had something to do with the lack of arm healing, could be major (i.e. leukemia), and at the very least, he will have to sit out next season? So why not move closer to family during treatment?

I thought Leukemia at first, too, but then considering he was pitching just a couple of weeks ago and Mainieri seemingly knew of his issue then, it seems unlikely that it is that serious.
