Different field setups in what I love about baseball.
No I love that too...
But this is college baseball.
It's fair, when teams are well aware of their CWS destination and can build for it...
To have it change, year after year...
One year a great homerun team gets an advantage, next year it's a great pitching team...unbeknowest to the coach who recruit great hitters...because by year 3, he's now playing in a huge park...
You don't give coaches a chance to build and plan and you reward teams that just happen to have an advantage that year for certain ballparks by rotating.
It needs to be uniform to be fair.
Like the OP said...like Basketball and Football.

Right now teams are building for small ball. That's boring AF.
I don't see how it's unfair to change parks every year. Who would be getting an advantage? Your team should be adaptable to any style of play. It's BS to scream foul because your team wasn't built for a specific park.

It needs to be uniform to be fair.
This is nonsense.
The actual answer is they found a neutral location that will actually support it so it won't move.

It is part of the game to play at different ball parks that are different than your home park.
What are you talking about?
Playing the final four in a big dome can throw off a great shooting college basketball team who is used to playing in smaller gyms.
A slow Big 10 football team, who is dominate in the snow, can be destroyed playing indoors on the fast Superdome turf.
Playing at different ball parks with different dimensions is what makes baseball great.
