I thought it was very mainstream and just not my kind of horror movie. When the guy pulled out the guitar, I seriously rolled my eyes. There was just too much happy, happy, joy, joy for my taste. It just wasn't for me. One of the reasons I loved the first Insidious was the ending. It was extremely dark and what I personally look for in horror movies.
But, as a horror fan, I do love the fact that both it and the first one made a ton of money and were well received by critics and fans. It's good for the future of horror movies. I think studios will see the investment opportunities, and we have James Wan to thank for that.

I'm pretty much over James Wan....he's good with the camera, but I've been bored rather than scared by most of his stuff.
