gonna help us without his total focus on LSU he is still organizing his staff for NEB I know we need to accept that he is going to coach the game but I have a real bad feeling about this ,someone make me feel better about this.

It will take him 2 days to come up with a plan for the defense. LSU players are not practicing now. I believe the players have like 2 weeks off and will only be lifting and running. Pelini will get his staff together, then come back to BR and get the D ready. Pelini wants to win a NC just as bad as anyone else. It's his D and he knows the whole state of Neb. will be watching to see what kind of D Pelini is bringing with him. Hopefully he decides to attack.

During the recruiting period, the LSU assistants will be breaking down the Ohio State film and have it all prepped for Pelini. So I agree it won't take him long to come up with a game plan.
During the recruiting dead period he won't have as many distractions. This isn't the situation I would have hoped for, but I think there's a pretty good chance it works out ok.

None of the alternatives is any better. If one of the existing position coaches does it, their attention will be divided since they are doing two jobs. Can't bring in next year's DC for the NCG because (a) you might not be able to get the best coach for next year with such a quick process and (b) that person would not know our players, calls and terminology in such a short time.

Agreed!

We may suck it up on defense, but I'm not too sure Peveto or Mallory would be much better.

No way he does this. A National Championship is to good on a resume.

Bo will be ok, he will be shown all during the game and everytime he's shown, "The Next Nebraska Coach!"
He defense will make a good showing, I thank him for what he's done.

This is the key. I think anyone would agree that this is not a great situation for LSU. However, what is the alternative?
We're going to have to win with Pelini even if he's not 100% focused.
