So a prototypical build SF, that can score, just not efficiently, and has a bit of an attitude problem and probably thinks he's a lot better than he is? Sounds kind of like Josh Smith, who Ferry got rid of to rebuild the Hawks into a good defending ball movement team similar to what the Pels are hoping to become.
Assuming Demps will actually listen to Ferry and isn't just giving him busy work to fulfill Loomis' advisor requirement, I'm pretty confident the team will make good moves this offseason instead of assuming the worst. Ferry literally did what we are trying to do just a few years ago, transition from an ISO heavy outdated roster to a modern one.

Brown is the player I want the least and the player I expected Pels fans to irrationally fall in love with.
We have been so starved for a SF for so long, and he is protypical build and athleticism for the position.
The problem is he just isn't that good.

He's not as athletic as Smith from what I've seen of him.
He's one of those guys We draft for long term development.
His shot needs to be fixed. He has different release points, fades away unnecessarily, and he gets off balance easily.
He's a guy who needs to learn the eurostep as he loses speed and momentum when he changes direction.
Defensively, he's still raw. Unless Poindexter falls off the map, I don't see Brown as a big contributor in year one should we draft him.
