I still believe that if the shoe pictures had turned up during the criminal trial, he may have been convicted. So few were sold in the US. Others will disagree.

In his civil deposition he denied owning those "ugly arse shoes". That sealed the deal, though the burden of proof was obviously substantially lower.

You weren't getting enough Jurors in those 12 to convict. Like I said earlier in the thread. It was over when it was decided to have the trial downtown. You might have had a hung jury, but that was their best chance. The prosecution had no idea what it was getting itself into.
