What if the BPA on YOUR teams board was a guy you knew you could get at 9? Then, wouldn't trading back and picking up 27 make sense?
If those three are gone, I don't think Chriss or Bender would be the highest guy on their board, given the mandate from ownership. Therefore, trading back for this GM would make sense, even though I would be begging them to take Bender, who is #4 on my board

If the mandate is win now, which is dumb, nobody in the draft is going to come in and make us a playoff team. If they were, they would be gone in the first five.

How do those late 1s work out in the new salary cap world? I know they were kind of take it or leave it a couple years ago because you are giving a guaranteed contract to a marginal pick, does the higher cap really make it that much better?
