He reminds me Gausman to an extent coming out of highschool. Long lanky frame with a high leg kick and downward movement. Hess has more of a 3/4 slot arm angle where Gausman would come more over the top.

As a senior in highschool Gausman was sitting 96-97mph with a great changeup while Hess is usually 93-94mph at the moment with a better slider.

I think Hess will be an extremely great college arm, out of the class he's the most ready. He has a great head on his shoulders and comes from a very knowledgeable baseball background.

As always, you da man. Although I am not a Mainieri fan, I can say this team overachieved. I think of this year with the 08 team. I think the graphic was 29-16 then went 16-5 down the stretch. But I expect big things next year. I would say cws finals or bust. Similiar to the pressure on football this season with all of the returning players and making the final 4.
