VT,you're not even talking about the play the op is referencing.
However, since you brought it up, the play you are talking about, you go halfway, and you EASILY score from 2nd on a damn double to the wall. Absolutely a base running error

Yeah I know I'm not responding to the play in the OP, I'm responding to the person asking why we didn't score on a double to the wall.
You tag up on a fly ball behind you in that situation. You don't go half way. If it's a ball to left, you go half way or less. But behind you, it's tag up. If the RF catches the ball, and he's half way, you guys are screaming that he should have tagged up so he could be on 3rd with 2 outs. It's not as hard as you all make it out to be. Really simple baseball rules here haha
