Yeah, but Junior acting up in the locker room didn't screw the Saints over. Giving him a retarded contract that made him untouchable and a devastating cut fricked the Saints over.

So calling out his head coach (frick Sean video), beefing with Cam Jordan & fist fighting teammates in the locker room didn't ruin team chemistry? Good Lord dude you are reaching now. Galette had the locker room so divided Payton made it a point last draft to select players who fit the mold of being solid teammates. It's funny how quickly some people forget just how much shite came out about Junior's antics behind the scenes.

Did that happen before or after he was signed to a monster contract? Junior Galette was a douche nozzle who absolutely destroyed team chemistry. You're attacking a strawman right now as I'm not in any way, shape, or form defending Galette. What I'm saying is those things became truly organizationally destructive as a result of the fact that he was locked in on a massive contract. The Saints handled him exactly the correct way by cutting him but it was devastating because of the contract. So he and Hardy are not comparable in terms of the risks to the team and organization because we know Hardy's risks and we can sign him to a very minimal risk contract. This isn't rocket science.

Once again, I'm in no way defending Galette. My point is that what really fricked us with him was that he was locked in contractually. I'm not suggesting we should do that with Hardy. I'm looking at it from the perspective that you evaluate him, make a determination on whether you think you can utilize for a year, offer a very low risk contract if you think you can, and be completely willing to cut ties with him at any point, even if he performs. We just need to buy a year until Kikaha *fingers crossed* can come back healthy and we can address DE next offseason.

Again, I understand the viewpoint of not signing him for all the reasons you laid out and I think it's a completely legitimate POV. But I wouldn't exclude him from consideration outright.

Don't taze me bro.
