right. Players in this years July 2 signings (international) will have been born during my junior or senior year of high school.

I've seen it. It's mind boggling at how many more early round college players make it and high school kids don't. I was very surprised.

From 2000-2009, in the first round, about 76.6% of collegiate picks and 62.8% of high school picks made it to the majors. However, high school picks during that time had a higher overall average WAR and a much higher WAR among players that did make it to the show, so high school picks actually provide more value than collegiate picks in the first round.
