If you decide to get it, don't let the installer leave without getting at least a 99 signal on all of the satellites.

If you sign up the installer should be using an AIM meter to peak the dish. If used properly this will get you the strongest possible signal.

Before I was trained to install dtv I would be on jobs installing uverse internet and VoIP while a dtv employee or contractor would be installing dtv. Not once did I ever see or hear one of them using the meter and the meter makes pretty loud beeps when locking on to the satellites .

I am convinced that most people who have signal issues had an installer who didn't peak the dish properly. Remember a degree or two off on earth translates to several hundred miles when trying to aim at the orbital slot where the satellites are located .
