I just want to say that no one can ever think this could happen to them until it does.

That's why I made it a priority when my daughter was young to set an alarm that would go off on my phone every morning at 8:00 am reminding me to drop her off at school. It wasn't that I expected it could happen to me, but that I knew it could happen to anyone and that I wouldn't let it be me.

I feel bad for parents like this. They aren't trying to murder their children. They're distracted. And it may or may not be their fault...with so much technology and being so connected to technology these days, there's no wonder why people forget the simplest, most important things in their day to day.
