I like the lowrance HDS b/c Standard mapping chips are by far the best and Lowrance is the only manufacturer that uses them

I like them too. The Gen2 is still very reasonable. What size screen to what size boat do you run it on?

This is actually no longer true as Standard now makes chips for Garmin and Raymarine as well.
