I meant how long after your surgery were you still supposed to be taking them? I ask because I'm having surgery next month and I want to be off the pills before I'm approaching a problem. Easier way to ask: how long were you on them before you started feeling withdrawals?

Well I never felt withdraws really because the dr that did the surgery was a "deer camp" buddy so I always had a supply. Until about a 2 years ago he started catching heat about his script practices, I started buying on the black market, until I almost got caught. That was about this time last year and I just started drinking myself to death. By then I had put my family in ruins. I would suggest the instant you can get off, do it.
