I technically had a full ride.... But I was also a little smart. I got an academic scholarship as well. Baseball paid for tuition and books, academic one paid for room/board and meal plan.

But yeh... No such thing as a full baseball ride. fricking Bregman didn't get a full ride. I know travel ball cousin ain't getting it.

I am coaching an 8u team this year. We have beat a few "travel" teams with some scrubs and a few kids with talent. I teach them how to play the game, hit off a tee and hold them accountable.
Travel ball kids are better right now, just from sheer reps. Once these kids get to be teenagers things average out unless the kid is a stud. In that case he does well regardless of playing travel or not. Just b/c you are paying for your kid to play at Disney and win a fricking ring doesn't mean shite and it doesn't mean they are learning the game.
Don't get me started on the pitching shite either....
