I liked Kath a lot, saw him with Chicago a couple of times in the mid 70s, he was different for that era. Most of the guitarist that came about in the 70s was trying to imitate the tone of Hendrix/Page/Clapton Strats/LesPauls to a Marshall were the rule, Kath's tone really broke that mold, it is a shame he was not more versed in firearm safety.
