Right, my BCG came in today so I'm good on that.
Ice cream, I didn't think about weight being an issue, how much weight are we talking about? Where do nicer, lighter uppers, save weight at compared to what this offers?
Could I build an upper in the 325-375 range that is lighter than the one in the link?

Upper - $119
Barrel - $178
Handguard - $154
Barrel nut, gas tube, gas block, budget around $50-60 for them. It takes literally 10 mins to put together and you have a great quality and personalized upper. I have that exact rail and like it. I do not have that upper nor barrel, but they are highly regarded.
Total = $500. More than your budget and more than I figured it would windup too. Probably can save $50 or so catching everything on sale.
