He's practicing his 'funky chicken' moves.....
ETA: When he pitched the MS first game at Alex Box this season the fans around us were giving him hell for that silly pose. Notice he only does it with runners on base. I'm willing to bet it's his contribution to Cohen's silly mind games that continue throughout their games.
Just watching the replay of last night's game, I noticed the announcers were really critical of all the fake pick off moves to second base even when LSU had the bases loaded. Where was the runner on second base going with a guy on third ahead of him?
The announcer even said, "What I don't get is why the pick off move towards second base?" The other announcer said, "It's best we don't go into that." And they both laughed.
Another of Cohen's mind games with hitters just slow the game down.

You hold the runner close at 2nd in the event of a base hit, a pitcher wants to reduce any runners lead by a step or two when you can to potentially prevent an additional base on a hit.
