How do those high end models treat all these new cars with the lane sense and blind spot tech? I've got a middle of the line radar detector I've had since high school and 9 out of 10 times when it goes off now its because I'm near a new Tahoe or escalade. It's saved my arse hundreds of times so I still use it but I also feel like an idiot slamming breaks only to see a new Tahoe around the corner.
It's a k40 btw.

Newer Mercedes Benz S Classes are the only ones that make my Escort 8500 do anything weird. It's a coating they use on the windshield. The Bentley Continental uses the same coating but I don't run into too many of those. (Neither car can use a traditional toll tag bc of it).
OP: get the cheapest Beltronics detector and you'll be good to go. Same company as Escort. All you need is Ka, K and X band protection. Smaller departments love to use those last two antiquated bands.

shite the ticket would be cheaper....lol
I thought so too until two speeding tickets in 6 months showed up on my insurance. Texas and Oklahoma aren't like Louisiana where you can pay to have it not reported.
