That you don't have Saw's in Homewood and Post Office Pies on your list is a sin.

We do this every year for the tourney. Last year's thread was pretty comprehensive.
Tortugas Pizza on Hwy 150 in Hoover is very close to the ball park and has Chicago style deep dish pizza. Its fantastic. Also in Hoover, you have the Silver Coin on Lorna Rd which has great Indian food. The Iguana Grill also on Lorna Rd for a pretty cool Mexican place. If you want an authentic taqueria, Los Primos Taqueria is legit (Lorna Rd). Meat and three? Try Sweet Tea (chicken livers or catfish) which is just off Lorna Rd in Hoover close to another icon Golden Rule BBQ (cheeseburger is awesome).
I know most consider New Orleans the center of the food universe and perhaps it is. But Birmingham has made big strides in creative, original local food.

Highlands bar and grill for possibly the best meal of your life, James Beard nominated for best restaurant in America for years straight, bring a jacket for dinner and get whatever fish is on the menu, Chez fonfon is its sister restaurant with a killer burger.
Mr. Chens is great authentic Chinese, in Hoover about 10 minutes from the ballpark.
Saigon noodle house for pho.
Gianmarcos is fantastic Italian.
Don't go to the Bright Star.
Richard Blais has a burger joint in the summit mall off 459 which has been great in the past but I haven't been in years. The liquid no2 Nutella and burnt marshmallow milkshake is epic.
The guy who taught me how to boil crawfish when I was young has a place in Inverness, Chef Robert, great gumbo, seafood pasta and such, Crazy Cajuns.
I lived there most of my life and a return trip wouldn't be complete for me without a Milo's burger. They sell their sweet tea around town too. It's pretty darn good.
If you want the best cafeteria food in the country and don't mind venturing to the north side of town, Niki's West is a institution.
