I'm going with a different logic here. Mine is that this is an all expenses paid apprenticeship for these athletes to hone their skills before they become multi-millionaire pros.

And adjusting for inflation, facilities, nutrition, sports science etc. have all been improved as well. It's not as if these kids are living the Junction Boys life. They are being catered too. All of that money goes back into the program.
