The point is he's under contract, they wouldn't let Conor participate in the fight.

His contract extends to boxing? Seems like they would have a hard time enforcing that keeping him from participating in a different sport to maintain his livelihood.
Additionally their recent interactions and being pulled from the card would be even more ammo for him to play with in getting out of it.
Don't think that would be an issue at all

People break contracts all the time, I'm sure Conor would much rather have the $50M upfront than whatever peanuts he'll have to pay to the UFC
