This thread was going fine until you brought the whole Skip Bayless act in here. The sad part is, I don't think you are actually trolling.

Do me a favor and stfu with this nonsense. I post more on tennis than anybody here. You know it. I know it. Freaking Marcellus knows it. You started this thread, but that doesn't confer upon you some kind of property rights. And let me assure you, Lee Harvey, that I will post in it when I damn well please, and that I will pay no regard to some useless shite-talking tripe like you produced in the above.

quote:

Wawrinka 2015 clay losses prior to Roland Garros:
Monte Carlo - Dimitrov 6-1, 6-2 (Round of 16)
Madrid - Dimitrov 7-6, 3-6, 6-3 (Round of 16)
Rome - Federer 6-4, 6-2 (Semis)
Geneva - Delbonis 6-7, 6-4, 6-4 (Quarters)

Then he rips off 7 in a row beating Federer, Tsonga, and your golden boy in the final 3 rounds, while dropping 3 sets in the entire tourney.

Compare those results with this year. Then get back at me with what the word "nonsense" means. Because you clearly don't know.

So, let's see...

A) Rafa can't beat Joker on any surface
B) Murray could surprise Joker in the final
C) Don't see Murray beating Rafa
D) The Great Great Rafa Nadal

This is called multiple personality disorder.

Huh? Were you like actively seeking a diss, couldn't really find one that worked, realized you weren't that clever and weren't likely to come up with anything that worked particularly well, and so just said "frick it" I'll be unclever but brazen?

Let's break it out for you. I'm here to help.
a) What objective indications are there that Rafael Nadal has any chance at beating Novak Djokovic? Find me the last time Rafa took a set off him.
b) I stand by this statement. And it's inconsistent with the items above or below in what way? Do tell. I eagerly await your nuanced response.
c) [insert response from item b]
d) Goddamn right. Living legend. One of the greatest competitors in any sport. Ever. Tell your friends.

Rafa and Djoker actually played really closely in Rome just over a week ago. Rafa took early breaks in both sets, and the total points won for the match was only 87-84 to Djoker. I definitely think it's possible for Nadal to beat Djoker, but I'd still put my money on Djoker if I were betting.

I agree with you about Murray. He had a very easy draw in Rome and was very well-rested for the final against Djoker; whereas, Djoker played Nadal and Nishikori in the quarters and semis before playing Murray in the final. Djoker was also playing with some sort of foot or ankle problem (that I hope is okay for the French).
