Outskirts of Woodlands can go from "zero to meth labs" in a damned hurry.

Cut and Shoot, baw.

To OP, Woodlands/Klein/Tomball area are all very nice. Avoid Spring ISD, but as far as housing goes look at it on a map and what district it falls in. Some houses will have a Spring address but still go to Conroe ISD and be in a good area. My office is on 1960 and I would not live in that area.

Also with 99 open now Atascocita/Kingwood/Porter are not bad options at all either now.

Porter?

Kingwood is nice and if some of the older folks have moved off I hear it is getting younger. For awhile there it was 50+. Atascocita can get sketchy but is nice overall. Porter however? I think finding a decent place in Porter is not worth the effort. The level of white trash that resides in Porter is horrendous.

However, for an experience. Do go to the Porter Wal-Mart. Everyone says it that way, "Porter Wal Mart" because it is unlike any Wal mart you've seen.
