Gary Moore on "Still Got the Blues" and SRV anytime he has played anything.
You get the fat les paul sound and the cutting strat sound.
As far as just sound combinations, i really love the way rhythm guitars track through a Mesa Boogie Mark series amp (especially a iii or iv). Super chunky like any rhythm sounds by John petrucci. I also love a strat through a Marshall plexi boosted in the front end with a King Of Tone or a Klon. Strats and teles sound incredible through small fender combos like the deluxe reverb or princeton. If you ever get a chance to play any humbucker equipped guitar through a Bogner Ecstasy, then do it. That is one amazing sounds amp as well.
