I second whoever said earlier to do Peru. If you are looking for an "adventure" style vacation that's the place. The scenery is incredible and it's dirt cheap once you get there. Only spend one night in Lima, then get out. Learn to surf, they offer cheap lessons. Stay in small town hostels, you will meet other travelers. All of these travelers like to drink, atleast the young ones, and most will join you, or let you join them, on the next excursion. If you want to be super budget savvy and maybe learn a thing or two, check out workaway . It's a nifty little site that will pair you with someone to live with while you are there in exchange for work. We arent talking about forty hours per week, but it ranges. Some only want to learn about culture, some want a couple of hours of work, while some require 4 hours per day. Either way, its a super cool thing to do, and you'll meet incredible people. Imagine working on a finca in South America, or somewhere on a mountain in Peru. It's incredible.

I don't really know shite about Peru and have zero interest in going but i have a buddy (single guy early 30s) that goes to Peru by himself multiple times a year and loves it.
he backpacks and hikes around, and f*cks 20 year old local girls.
