I don't know if this has been mentioned or not yet, but it's pretty clear what happened. Once the song was starting, he was finishing his shooting, but had to end with a made shot (as most players do...LSU players do it all the time). He clearly shoots a fadeaway while walking to line up with his team, and he misses. Dude throws the ball back to him and he shoots a fadeaway from farther out (because he's still making his way to the line). And that misses. I'd bet lots of money he went to the line to stand there as soon as he made one.

Yes, it's still disrespectful and he should've stopped, but that seems to me like all it was is him trying to make his last shot...as opposed to just doing shootaround while the anthem was playing to be disrespectful on purpose.

This is fairly stupid, and should be a pretty small non-story.

ETA: And about 2 or 3 Raptor shots go up after the singing starts as well. This "Let's make 'news' out of every single little thing that happens" schtick is so overplayed and fricking stupid.
