12.9 over 5 years...that is a nice bargain for a guy who would be commanding 16-17 million next offseason.

Yall might doubt Loomis sometimes. But the man will always be known for being a great numbers guy.

I would not say it is a bargain. He is now the 3rd highest paid LT in the NFL. Playing devil's advocate, this is for a guy who has not yet been selected to a Pro Bowl or All Pro and has missed 5 games due to injury in his 2 years as a starter. I think it is a fair deal based on his age and potential to be one of the best LTs in the game. However, the Saints have taken some risk as well in the deal and shown a lot of faith in him. I think it fair for both sides, but would not call it a bargain.
