LSU is getting 20,000 tickets to the LSU/WISCONSIN GAME.
How many of those tickets are to be distributed to season ticket holders according to the point system.

In a perfect world... but won't be all of them.

The AD will get an allotment and probably player parents.

In other words, the usual suspects will get tickets, season ticket holders, students, high donor TAF members, etc.

Didn't they say they already had 10,000 applicants for these tickets, halfway there.
I think they did put a limit on the Wisconsin game.
If you are season ticket holder and requested them you should get them.

4-26-16 Tiger Rant Post

Golfer posted this. Best logic I've seen.

quote:

LSU is receiving 20,000 tickets. Lets assume 2000 tickets are held back for students, LSU Admin, player-guest, etc. According to the chart they sent out the max number of tickets will be as follows: 1-100: 8 101-250: 6 251-750: 4 751 & Above: 2 (if available) Assuming every donor from rank 1 to 750 takes their maximum (3700 tickets). This leaves 14,300 tickets. Bringing the maximum ranking to 7,900 assuming everyone from 751-7900 requests two tickets and LSU holds back 2,000 for their own use. I've got no idea how many they normally hold back, but figured 2,000 would be a reasonable number for this exercise. And obviously not every donor from 1 to 7900 will request tickets, or the maximum. But this will give you a good idea of what you're looking at.

No shot that every season ticket holder that requested them will get tickets....those 20,000 tickets will be gone before they get past the top 3000 TAF rankings

Mathematically impossible unless they hold back nearly 12,000 tickets for student, player guest, and athletic department use.

The alumni association has sold seats to anyone, five planes, (Wisc game)--I'm thinking they must get all the tickets they want w/o going through ranking that we must. I have a three digit ranking and I think all on those planes even w/o a ranking will have better seat locations than those of us that have donated...

Lsu Ath. dept. doesn't usually divulge the ticket distribution breakdown but I know for the 07 national championship game in N.O. of the less than 20,000 tickets available the Ath. dept. themselves took 1500+ {mostly presumably for LA elected officials/"dignitaries",team/parents got 800,students/faculty 2000+,that's just SOME of the bigger chunks before TAF members even got a sniff !

The Alumni Association bought their tickets from another source. Not from the 20,000 allocated by LSU.

That's interesting. I would have guessed they would be utilizing the "official" allotment.

I really hope you are right, but I bet the seats are in the LSU sections

How would they be in the LSU sections if they didn't get their tickets via the LSU allotment?

I'm 100% certain the AA bought their tickets elsewhere and also paid a premium for them.

They did in their email to those requesting tickets. At least by priority point breakdown.

And you can file a public records request and determine the number of tickets that were held back for students, departmental use, and players.
