Never going to complain about adding a talent like this to the roster, but I'm not in love with the fit for what Les and LSU traditionally want to do with the offense. I've always thought we've looked our best with guys like Mett, Russell, Lee, etc running the show. Guess we'll see

I'm with you. It's great that they are adding talent, but why should anyone think he will perform better than some of the other QBs in the past? Narcisse is really not any more highly touted than Jefferson, Jennings, Harris, yet they've all been blamed for LSU's struggles in the passing game over the years. I find it hard to believe that ALL three guys were simply just "misses" on the recruiting trail. It's clear that LSU wants to run more of a pro-style attack, but they just keep signing guys who don't seem suited to do so. Jefferson, Jennings and Harris all seemed to be uncomfortable being forced sit in the pocket and go through a read progression rather than executing quick timing routes with relatively easy reads that we see in many "spread" attacks. It seems like Narcisse is that same kind of player.

Teams that run more of a "pro-style" offense seem to have generally recruited and played the type of QB that was better suited for that style (FSU, UGA, USC, Mich. St., Alabama all come to mind). LSU seems to do the opposite.

Like every other QB LSU has recruited, I want Narcisse to do well. However, in order to do that I think Les has to be willing to run an offense that compliments the kid's talents.
