Just replace the modem you have with the new one..You'll have to call Cox and let them know a few numbers from the new one, but you should be good after that...Not saying it will solve your problems, but eliminating everything on your end is the best way to go

I don't antisapate it changing the wifi much until I tend to that part. I'm looking to get higher more consistent speeds plugged directly into it. I figure the AP's are only going to transmit what kind of signal they receive so that's where I'm starting.
