I can see that approach. I think you mess with an aces mind this way though, you're in a way saying I'm not 100% sure you can beat their ace while at the same time putting pressure on the kid by asking him to save the series. Baseball players especially pitchers are very strange creatures you don't want to rattle them mentally in any way and I think this does exactly that. There's a reason not one major league team ever does this. You can't re invent the way the game is played he needs to do things the right way.
