The way I understand is that in general, the higher the speed rating the stiffer the sidewall, which leads to a harsher and noisier ride because more shock and vibration are transferred to the vehicle instead of being absorbed by a softer sidewall.

Making me think I should go back with the originals. I want the vehicle to handle as well as possible, but comfort is a high priority too...its for the wife's car. If it were mine I'd want to maximize handling, but I doubt she would.

Nah, only run flats really have issues with the noise, due to the super-stiff side walls.

Even then, they aren't too bad until about midway down into the wear pattern. After that, they get really noisy.
